The November 17, 2007 Alternative Gift Market was a great success. our inaugural AGM raised a total of $19,385. Fifty-eight percent of the shoppers were not members of the church, which means that many individuals in the Falmouth community and beyond welcomed the opportunity to purchase alternative gifts. Approximately 12% of the proceeds were for fair trade craft items that were sold at the market; about 23% were donations to local charitable organizations; and the rest, about 65%, were donations to international charities.

We have received a lot of positive feedback and interest in repeating the event event next year.
