Service Fair/Fare
This coming Sunday, September 12th, will be our first attempt to make it easy for members and friends to find ways to be of service within UUFF and in the larger community. UUFF Committee representatives will be at tables with information about their purpose, membership, and meeting schedules – and sign-up sheets for the 2010-2011 program year. UUFF members and friends who are active in community organizations that need more volunteers will be at tables to provide similar information.
Circle Suppers Are Returning!
The next dining opportunity will be the weekend of September 17th and 18th. The sign-up sheets are on the lobby doors at The Fellowship or contact Holly if need be. Circle Suppers are an opportunity for small groups of our congregation to get together in a planned potluck dinner at one of their homes. These are always fun and a great way to get better acquainted. The hostess contacts the diners and arranges the menu. Usually the hostess will do the beverages and appetizers with another person doing the main course and someone on the salad and another for the dessert. Remember, if you are the host - you don’t have to go out anywhere!
Holly Wilson will set-up the diner groups and notify the hosts. Call Holly Wilson at 617-610-5299 to sign up. Last day to sign up is Sunday, September 5th leaving plenty of time for arrangements.
